Dollar Days Policies
What you need to know about WOYR Dollar Days!

Please note:  We no longer book groups (organizations) into our Dollar Days sessions.  If you have a group that would like to book
a one-time riding event, please see our
Group Openings page.

Read through the policies below.

Registration for each month will be limited to a one-week time period directly preceding that month.  Please click here for
detailed registration instructions and schedules.

Please click here to check our weather page before each session to see if your event is running on time or canceled due to
inclement weather.

You are responsible to keep track of all of your own scheduled sessions.  Reminders will generally not be sent out.

Wild Ones Youth Ranch Dollar Days Policies

The Dollar Days and Buckaroo Dollar Days program includes one 45-minute horse activity per session.  This often, but not
always, involves riding, but does always involve hands-on horse experience.

Dollar Days are for children ages 5-10.  Please note that these age limits are merely a guideline and the director reserves the
right to place a child in a different group in order to meet his or her needs in the most beneficial way.

At this point we require that all parents stay with their child during their sessions.  Changes may be made in the future,
dependent on the addition of volunteers to our program.

Sessions are limited to 4 riders for Dollar Days and 6 riders for Buckaroo Dollar Days.

Sessions cost $1 per rider. Each rider is expected to participate in 30 minutes of light farm work as well (for example: picking
up litter on the property, helping scoop grain, organizing helmets and tack, etc.) for a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes per
session.  Buckaroo sessions have less chore and horse time (1 hour total, combined).

DOLLAR DAYS ONLY (ages 5-10) and BUCKAROOS (ages 3-5):  You may only reserve 1 session per child per registration
period.  After your session is completed, you must register again in the next registration period to continue.  These
reservations will take place during a one-week time period preceding the next month (see note above).  If there are spots
open when registration ends, a notice will be sent out and you will be able to register for one of the open spots.  If you are
unable to get into a particular month, you will be placed on a waiting list and contacted first when the next registration
session opens.

Riders who have made reservations may miss one reserved ride without consequences. Additional missed appointments will
result in the riders being put on a 2-month waiting list until they are permitted to participate in the program again.
Exceptions apply in the case of medical or family emergencies. Please remember to email FIRST (as we are often away from
the phone) and make a back-up call as well to let us know if you are unable to make your appointment as far in advance as
possible.

FOR BUCKAROO PARENTS ONLY:  Since buckaroos are so young, if you feel the weather is too cold for your child to attend
you can miss the session without penalties.  Please let us know as soon as possible, however, so we don't prepare a horse for
them.

We reserve the right to cancel sessions due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.  Please click here to
check our weather page before each session to see if your event is running on time or canceled due to inclement weather.
It is your responsibility to check this.  We will not be making calls.  If you are unsure about whether or not there is a
cancellation, please CHECK THE WEB PAGE first, then email Cassie if you have any questions.

For safety reasons all riders and accompanying adults must wear LONG PANTS and CLOSED TOE SHOES (preferably low
heeled boots or tennis shoes) on the premises.  Anyone not wearing the appropriate clothing and shoes will not be permitted
to be around the horses.  Please let us know if this is an issue and we will try to make accommodations (we do have some
extra boots on site). We have a limited amount of riding helmets available, so riders should bring their own bicycle or riding
helmet if possible.

To make a reservation, please refer to the registration rules and schedule and then e-mail Cassie Wicks after the registration
notice for the upcoming month has been posted or emailed.

Participants and accompanying adults must fill out a new waiver form EACH SEASON (previously it was one new waiver per
year).  Click here to download our current waiver form.  One form per participant/accompanying adult please (no doubling
up).

the LORD our God.
