Our Programs
Here at Wild Ones, we have several ways to get children, youth, and yes, even grown-ups,
involved with our amazing horses.
Dollar Days

Our Dollar Days horse program is geared towards those who aren't able to
participate in lessons on a regular basis but would like to gain some hands-on
horse experience.  There are currently three sessions for
kids 5-10 years and one
session for
kids 3-4 years old each week during the school year.  For a minimum
donation of $1 kids can enjoy 45-minutes of horse handling and farm experience
(plus the kids help out with a 1/2 hour barn chore).  Please check out the
Dollar
Days page for more important information regarding this program and then
contact
Cassie Wicks if you are interested in scheduling a session.

PLEASE NOTE:  Our Winter Dollar Days sessions begin February 1 and end March
29.  We have instituted a limited registration period prior to the start of each
month and will not take any reservations except during this time frame. Please
click
here for more information.

Group Lessons

We offer group lessons (2 or more people) for kids ages 11 and up.  Sessions are
held several times a week.  To sign up, please read requirements on our
Group
Lessons page and contact Cassie Wicks to set up your sessions.

PLEASE NOTE: We will resume group lessons the week of April 5.  A new schedule
will be posted at the beginning of March at which time you may begin to book
sessions.

Summer Camps

Have your kids always wanted a chance to play with horses and maybe learn some
riding basics? If so, Wild Ones Youth Ranch's Summer Horse Camps are a perfect
way to introduce
boys and girls ages 8-14 to the joys of horseback riding. These
one, two, or three-day sessions are designed for children of all riding abilities and
experiences.

Session dates, camp FAQs and registration materials are available on our
Summer
Camps page.  Each camp is limited to 12 children, so please contact Cassie Wicks to
check for space availability BEFORE booking your child's session.

PLEASE NOTE:  2010 Summer Camp dates will be posted in March at which time
you may begin booking sessions.

Junior Wrangler  and Ranch Hands Program

Wild Ones' Junior Wrangler Program provides the opportunity for younger youth
(
ages 12-14) to work with Christian mentors who model the attitude of serving God
and others through our wonderful horses.  Junior Wranglers and Ranch Hands get
hands-on experience with horses, farm life, and service opportunities.  Young
people going through this program have the opportunity to help out at camps, the
fair, and other Wild Ones events and of course have many chances to ride and
have fun!

Please contact
Jeanie Langley for more information.
Wrangler Program

Older youth (ages 15 and up) and adults who love the Lord and can demonstrate
good horsemanship are encouraged to join our Wrangler Program.  Wranglers are
the hands-on teachers and counselors of our ministry.  They help mentor the
Junior Wranglers while improving and fine-tuning their own horse skills and
relationship with the Lord.   The Wranglers' hard work and passion for God and
horses is a vital part of our summer camps and other events.  Attaining the status
of Wrangler is a privilege and carries with it the  responsibility to be role models,
not only for the Junior Wranglers, but for all who benefit from our ministry.

Please contact
Jeanie Langley if you would like to be involved with this special
mentorship program.

Our Horse or Yours

If your horse could benefit from exposure to new surroundings and situations
give Our Horse or Yours a try.  Wild Ones will board one horse per year  at
Kittyhawk Kigers and Mustangs where it will have the opportunity to interact with
different people in a variety of activities and environments.  Offering minimal
training and maximum exposure, the Our Horse or Yours program is available for
a donation to Wild Ones.

For more information, please contact
Jeanie Langley.

Educational Tours

Wild Ones offers educational tours on the history of Kiger mustangs, local Native
American traditions and history and regional flora and fauna.  If you are
interested in learning more, please contact
Mike Langley.
